Pyromusical

The North East’s biggest Pyromusical takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Step into a world where stories escape the pages

Victorian Imaginariums begins in a once-orderly Victorian library — just as something extraordinary happens.

Stories slip their bindings. Characters escape the pages. And suddenly, the Victorian world is no longer contained inside books.

It’s all around you.

Follow a winding pathway through an outdoor maze where encounters unfold at every turn — lively, theatrical and full of surprises.  Meet a cast of unforgettable Victorian characters — workers, dreamers, performers and curious personalities — each with their own ambitions, worries and secrets.

Victorian Village Preview in 2026

The full Flambards Victorian Village is not part of the 2026 opening and is planned for a future phase (currently targeted for 2027, subject to planning approval).

However, visitors in 2026 will still be able to enjoy a special Victorian preview within the park.

This will include Birch & Birch, the first shop originally installed in Cornwall’s Flambards Victorian Village — a richly detailed general store featuring marble and mahogany counters, traditional display shelving, coffee grinders, cheese cutters, historic shop fittings and authentic period packaging and goods.

Originally located in Angel Court, London, Birch & Birch was a bakers, confectioners and purveyors of high-class provisions, offering visitors an evocative glimpse into Victorian retail life.

Presented as part of the Victorian Imaginariums experience, the shop will provide an early taste of the much larger Victorian Village still to come.

Show Information

A maze where stories come to life

Victorian Imaginariums is not a seated show.  It’s a self-guided journey through a one-way maze.

As you wander deeper into the pathways, the atmosphere feels welcoming — lively conversation, polite greetings, the excitement of a town preparing for celebration. But look a little closer, and things aren’t quite as simple as they first seem.

A lamplighter prepares his lanterns, joking easily — yet watching everything around him as change approaches.

A flower seller chats brightly while hinting she knows far more than she should.

A determined journalist asks questions others would rather avoid.

The more you explore, the more perspectives you encounter — and the less certain the truth becomes. We could name the people to make it more personal?

Victorian society appears ordered… but fractures lie just beneath the surface.

You’re not just watching events unfold. You’re stepping into a living story.

Each journey feels different depending on who you meet — and the characters may vary throughout the day, so no two visits are ever quite the same.

At the end, the librarian returns… and the stories are gently guided back to their shelves.
