Halloween Weekend SpectacularSaturday 1 November 2026

Halloween comes with a bang this year as the North East’s biggest pyromusical fireworks spectacular returns to Bishop Auckland.

On Saturday 1st November, Pyromusical will light up the skies above Kynren with a dazzling display set to a spooky-spirited soundtrack and the walkway will be lit by hundreds of glowing pumpkins.

Now in its seventh year, this unmissable family-friendly celebration combines breathtaking fireworks, dramatic staging and playful seasonal touches that make it one of the most atmospheric nights out of the year.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Auckland Palace, the 25-minute display is choreographed to music that mixes big crowd-pleasers with a dash of Halloween magic.

Every firework is timed to perfection by the same award-winning pyrotechnics team behind Kynren – An Epic Tale of England. With seating for 8,000, the tribune ensures every guest has an uninterrupted view.

Ahead of the main event, visitors can follow a pumpkin-lit trail down to the tribune, creating a glowing autumnal welcome.

Children are especially encouraged to dress up and join the fun, while adults can soak up the spectacle of light, colour and atmosphere.

Anna Warnecke, CEO of Kynren, said: “Last year was another sell-out and we are thrilled to welcome audiences back for Pyromusical 2025.

“This year’s Halloween twist is designed to be magical and family friendly, with pumpkins, music and fireworks combining to create an unforgettable autumn evening for all generations.”

Guests can arrive early to enjoy the warmth of glowing fire pits and a menu of seasonal favourites, from hotdogs and soup to mulled wine and hot chocolate.

With crisp night air, autumn colours and fireworks filling the sky, Pyromusical promises a Halloween weekend to remember.
